PROGRAMS

𝗠𝗲𝗻.𝗝𝗮.𝗠𝘂𝗿 is a collaborative event that focuses on the utilization of fungal organisms. 𝗠𝗲𝗻.𝗝𝗮.𝗠𝘂𝗿 tries to present not only research results but also design works and potential applications as alternative materials. In the Indonesian archipelago, mushrooms have various associations and can be interpreted in many ways depending on the situation and conditions. We are familiar with the term "𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘫𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘳" or "moldy" which is often associated with the condition that is not taken care of, which results in the growth of unwanted organisms (fungus) in a location. 𝗠𝗲𝗻.𝗝𝗮.𝗠𝘂𝗿 is here to emphasize a more positive point of view, that mushrooms, can also be used for something that prospers and is plentiful. Initiated by Køkken⁺, 𝗠𝗲𝗻.𝗝𝗮.𝗠𝘂𝗿 will present a series of interactive events comprised of architecture exhibition, captivating talk shows, various creative workshops, a mycelium & sustainable fashion showcase, a home & living pop-up shop, and a pop-up kitchen by presenting materials researchers (MYCL-Mycotech Lab), architects (ōd architecture studio), designers (Hi Jack Sandals, Pala Nusantara, APAKABAR), artist (Nidiya Kusmaya), artist/health & wellness nerd (Batsheba Satyaalangghya), cake maker (Seroja Bake), laser cut and 3D print workshop (Fablab Bandung), design researcher (Prananda Luffiansyah), and food anthropologist (Seto Nurseto).

Oftentimes, we are giving too much energy thinking about the lack inside ourselves and what people say about us, and it can be a stressful action for our mind and body. This action will definitely impact our mind for not giving much attention to ourselves. It makes us forget that there’s actually a self-improvement we deserve. But in order to be aware of that, we need to love ourselves first. In this workshop, Virda will guide you on how to love yourself by pouring the negativity in your mind into a canvas.

This selection is an attempt to broaden perspective in understanding the animal presence in the anthropocentric civilization. From observational documentary to animation short, both human and animal areas equally represented in a reciprocal relationship. Non-Human is the 3rd installment of Palapa, a showcase program that aims to encourage socio-artistic dialogues through contemporary moving image works. We (also) welcome experimental time, video art, expanded cinema, and everything in between.
